LASH CARE
Your eyelash extensions are semi-permanent which means that they can be removed. The removal process takes no more then 30 minutes.
Surprisingly eyelash extensions are worn by pretty much everyone. You do not have to be a celebrity or vain to want longer and fuller lashes. Here at Winks Eyelash Boutique our customers are firefighters, construction workers, accountants, lawyers, stay at home moms, teachers, politicians, TV personalities and even student to a name a few.
Using Mascara on your extensions is Not recommended. The look and ease of lash extensions are designed so that you don’t need to use mascara at all. Most mascaras contain ingredients that will damage and dissolve the bonding agent on your extensions and hence shortening your extensions longevity.
You can definitely wear makeup, as stated in an earlier question just avoid Mascara. In another words eyeliner, foundation, eyeshadow will not harm your extensions. Make sure to avoid oil based products around the immediate eyelash area.
Depending on the amount of eyelash extensions being applied it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 2 1/2 hours.
PROPERLY APPLIED eyelash extensions do Not cause damage to your natural lashes.
Yes, you can. Just make sure to wait two days after the application before you dive in, and avoid rubbing your eyes.
Waking up with gorgeous lashes will certainly save time in the morning. Keep in mind that it’s best to avoid using mascara, eyeliner and eyelash curlers on extensions. Most mascaras and eyeliners contain products that will damage and dissolve the extensions’ bonding agent. Products that are not petroleum-based (including powder eyeliners) are safe to use. Trade your manual eyelash curler for a heated one, since it won’t break the extensions. To remove makeup, be sure to use an oil-free makeup remover.
We recommend booking an appointment 2 to 3 days before your special occasion. This ensures accurate curing time for the bonding agent (which can take up to 48 hours) and the freshest possible look for the lashes.
Start by skipping mascara and do not curl your lashes the day before your appointment. After visiting Winks avoid washing your face with hot water, using a steam bath or swimming for 48 hours to get the best results. Protect your extensions with a swipe of Longer Life Sealant. Extensions are extremely low-maintenance, just comb through with a clean mascara wand, and prepare to turn heads.
Just like your own lashes, extensions fall out over a period of time. Since the extensions are attached to lashes that are in the middle of their lifecycle, they tend to shed after 5-6 weeks of wear. To maintain a consistently full look, touch ups are recommended every 2-3 weeks.
BROW CARE
Wax should not be used for at least 2 weeks after the following: Retinol A, Glycolic Acid, or Roacutane treatments. Please advise your brow specialist if you are using any of these.

No two eyebrows are the same. I once heard that eyebrows are cousins not twin sisters. muscles in the brow area can differ on the sides of the face and hair normally grows differently on each brow…just to give you a few reasons. With shaping, we try to get both brows to look as similar as possible without completely changing the shape. Experimenting with make up is always a good idea if perfectly symmetrical brows is the look you’re going for.
Baldness in brows is quite common and nothing to worry to worry about. Scaring is on of the main reasons for brow baldness. You can always use a growth enhancer to grow hair back in that area. The brows can also be filled in with a pencil or powder to decrease the visibility of baldness.
Yes! Nicely groomed eyebrows definitely help in the ageing department. Well sculpted eyebrows, will give you a mini facelift, opening up the eye area and taking years off your appearance.
No, every face is unique and a shape that looks good one face may not look good on another.
